Thanksgiving should be more than one day

thanksgivingHappy Thanksgiving all! Today is a great day of family, food, friends and more food! I ran across these statements about gratitude… “Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”
Gratitude to God changes our worldview. Everything is viewed through His eyes, not our own. Learning more about our students is a blessing in itself. This Thanksgiving we have both big and small things to thank God for. I found out Monique is not just a great student, worker, and leader, but she is also into the sport of fencing! I knew Jack came from China, but I found out how God led him to accept Christ and subsequently get baptized during our school chapel. When the Chamber Choir sang for the first time, I realized Joyce had an amazing voice. Getting to know our students, not just academically but personally, makes “work” not work, but a ministry and privilege to be a part of. I am thankful to God for these blessings every day, not just today. I couldn’t be more grateful.
