COVID update – June 21, 2021

June 21, 2021

Dear School Community:

We happily received the good news last week that the State of California has lifted most Covid-19 restrictions. Since we are a school, everyone indoors on campus must continue to wear a mask, and we will still continue our screening protocols to enter the campus.  However, we are looking forward to things being very close to “normal” when school opens this fall.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is expected to issue their guidelines for K-12 schools by the end of the month, then the State of California and County of Alameda will issue their new guidelines to work in conjunction with the new CDC protocols. We ask for your patience for a few more weeks while we await the 2021-2022 K-12 school regulations.  A “sneak peek” given by Alameda County last Thursday indicates we should be able to resume all classroom and school operations, including school bus, hot lunch, after school, and extra-curricular activities, with a minimum of restrictions.

Thank you for your patience while we await further guidance on how we can conduct school this coming year safely and effectively.  Be assured we will be working on this throughout the summer and we will keep you informed of all developments. Enjoy your summer and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
