ABOUT SUMMER PROGRAM:

PURPOSE: California Crosspoint Academy’s Summer Camps are designed for students
entering K-8th grades who want to explore and grow in a focused area of interest.

Summer sessions are provided in-person, on campus.

Students can register for mornings only, afternoons only, or full days.

Mornings: Reading, Writing, and Math

Is your child struggling in reading or just not interested?

Our elementary teachers will provide a place to enjoy reading with novels, poetry, library visits, and good books while practicing reading and writing skills.
Middle School teachers will help students focus on their development as readers and writers. Students will read fiction and non-fiction while learning to dialogue with the text through annotations and reading comprehension strategies. Students will develop their writing voice through a culminating writing project.

Math is an exciting mix of problem-solving, games, activities, and computer-based learning for students who want to improve their math skills or keep their math skills sharp over the summer. Math will have an emphasis on financial literacy in the upper grades.

Students will enjoy exploring real-world phenomenon as they investigate weather, energy and matter, patterns, structure and function, stability and change, system and system models, cause and effect, or scale, proportion, and quantity

Afternoons: STREAM Activities

Elementary and middle school students will enjoy PE and explore STREAM with science, technology, research, engineering, and art.
Some of the hands-on STREAM activities that may be offered include gardening, rocketry, drone flying, coding, robotics, circuitry,
engineering projects, photography, cooking, and art.

Mrs. Marsheck is in charge of public relations, marketing, community development, and fundraising for CCA.
