God Story – Mixon Family

CCA parent Cynthia Mixon learned that their rental house, located near California Crosspoint Academy (CCA), was being sold, forcing them to move out within months. It seemed likely they would have to leave the area, leaving the family shocked and dismayed.

The Mixons love CCA, and their daughter Savannah was heartbroken at the thought of leaving the school. During a chance encounter, Cynthia shared her concerns, tears, and hopes with CCA’s Admissions Director, Christine Hom. Together, they prayed for God’s provision.

The next day, the Mixons found a listing for an open house near the CCA campus that met their needs. They arrived early and briefly mentioned to the homeowners their desire to keep Savannah at CCA. To their surprise, the homeowners revealed that both of their children were CCA graduates and that they had been praying for God to provide a CCA family to rent their home. Both families were astonished—could this be God’s hand at work?

Throughout the day, many people viewed the home. Skeptical that the Mixons’ story seemed “too good to be true,” the homeowners consulted their close friend, Christine Hom. Christine confirmed that the Mixons were indeed a CCA family, affirming that this was God’s provision, not mere coincidence. The homeowners accepted the Mixons’ application, and the family is now moving in, allowing Savannah to continue at CCA.

Praise God for His faithfulness and provision!
