Welcome

Crosspoint Kids Preschool is a part of California Crosspoint Academy in Hayward, CA.
California Crosspoint Academy received a calling from God to expand and include younger
children in order to serve Hayward and the surrounding area. Our mission is to provide a
loving, nurturing, caring, Christian environment for children to learn, discover, imagine,
and grow into the individuals God has made them to be.

Toddler Program | 2–3.5 Years Old

Teacher-to-Child Ratio: 1:6 | Potty Training Classroom

Our Toddler Program provides a warm and nurturing environment where two-year-olds are
introduced to structured learning while developing independence and confidence. Our
curriculum incorporates monthly themes and introduces children to letters, numbers,
shapes, and colors through age-appropriate, hands-on activities. Children participate in
fine-motor and gross-motor activities that strengthen physical development and build
skills such as drawing, climbing, balancing, and coordination.

We also place a strong emphasis on social-emotional development, helping children learn
to express their emotions appropriately, develop coping skills, share and take turns,
build relationships with teachers and classmates, and become increasingly independent
in their daily routines.

Preschool Program | 3–4.5 Years Old

Teacher-to-Child Ratio: 1:10 | Potty Training Classroom

Our Preschool Program builds upon the skills children developed in the Toddler Program
while providing new opportunities for growth and discovery. Children are introduced to
early literacy and math concepts, including letter and number recognition, while
continuing to strengthen their fine-motor and gross-motor skills.

Through hands-on learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom, children
learn to form relationships, communicate their needs, take responsibility, cooperate
with others, and solve problems. Children are encouraged to make choices, express their
ideas, and develop confidence and independence as learners.

Senior Preschool Program | 3 Years 9 Months–5 Years Old

Teacher-to-Child Ratio: 1:11 | Children must be potty trained and must turn 4 years
old by December 31.

Our Senior Preschool Program provides opportunities for children to further develop
their academic, social-emotional, and self-help skills. Through engaging, hands-on
learning experiences, children are encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems,
communicate their ideas, and build positive relationships with teachers and classmates.

Children continue developing early literacy and math skills while strengthening their
independence, confidence, fine-motor and gross-motor abilities, cooperation, and
problem-solving skills.

Pre-K Program | 4–5.5 Years Old

Teacher-to-Child Ratio: 1:12 | Children must be potty trained and with their fifth birthday
occurring on or after September 2. Placement is based on birthdate and classroom capacity.

Our Pre-K Program prepares children for their next step in education by building a
strong foundation in early literacy, mathematics, social-emotional development, and
independence. Children continue to develop letter and number recognition, early writing
and reading skills, fine-motor and gross-motor abilities, and positive relationships
with teachers and peers.

Through engaging, hands-on experiences both inside and outside the classroom, children
are encouraged to think independently, make choices, express their ideas, solve
problems, and become confident, capable learners.

Across all of our preschool programs, we strive to create a loving and supportive
Christian environment where every child is valued, encouraged, and given opportunities
to grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

Curriculum:

Year-Round Program: August–May (Regular School Year) & June–July (Summer School)

At Crosspoint Kids Preschool, we use developmentally appropriate, research-based curricula designed to support children’s growth and learning at each stage of early childhood. Our Toddler, Preschool, and Senior Preschool programs use the Frog Street Curriculum from Frog Street Press, LLC, while our Pre-Kindergarten program uses Three Cheers for Pre-K from SAVVAS Learning Company,

To support children’s social-emotional development, we integrate Promoting Alternative THinking Strategies (PATHS) into our daily curriculum. Across all classrooms, our curriculum provides a rich blend of language and literacy, mathematics, social studies, Bible studies, visual and performing arts, music and movement, science, and hands-on learning experiences.

Frog Street Curriculum

For Toddler, Preschool, and Senior Preschool

Toddler Classroom:
The Frog Street Toddler curriculum emphasizes movement-based learning, emotional safety, foundational vocabulary, and early social-emotional development. Through age-appropriate activities and Conscious Discipline strategies, children are supported in developing self-regulation, emerging independence, language, motor skills, and positive social relationships.

Preschool Classroom:
The Frog Street Preschool curriculum builds on children’s natural curiosity through structured exploration and hands-on learning. Children are provided with opportunities to expand their language and communication skills, practice positive social behaviors, and develop foundational academic skills through engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences.

Senior Preschool Classroom:
The Frog Street curriculum for Senior Preschool provides intentional skill-building and vocabulary development while encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and increasing independence. Classroom experiences are designed to strengthen school-readiness skills and prepare children for a successful transition to Pre-K, Kindergarten, and beyond.

Three Cheers Curriculum for Pre-K

For Pre-Kindergarten

Pre-K Classroom:
Three Cheers for Pre-K is a balanced Pre-Kindergarten curriculum that combines skills-based learning with purposeful play and engaging children’s literature. The curriculum provides opportunities for children to strengthen early literacy and math skills, develop vocabulary and communication, explore concepts through hands-on experiences, and build the confidence, independence, and school-readiness skills needed for a successful transition to Kindergarten.
