CROSSPOINT HIGH ACHIEVES TOP AP AWARD
Students Surpass Top Standard in Every Indicator
HAYWARD, CA, Monday, October 28, 2025 – California Crosspoint Academy has been
named to the Advanced Placement Program School Honor Roll at the highest level,
Platinum. CCA students far exceeded the highest distinction in all three key indicators
of success. The AP School Honor Roll recognizes programs where students have high
achievement and broad access to college-level AP classes. Schools earn this recognition
annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing a college-going
culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing
college readiness.
With 92% of seniors taking at least one AP exam, 85% of seniors scoring a three or
higher on at least one AP exam, and 44% of seniors taking five or more AP Exams, CCA
CCA students far exceeded the 80%, 50%, and 15% thresholds for the Platinum
distinction in each area. The school offers over 20 different AP exams in person and
supports even more through online education. The College Board’s Advanced
Placement® Program (AP®) enables students to pursue college-level studies—with the
opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high
school. Through AP courses in 38 subjects, each culminating in a challenging exam,
students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an
issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
California Crosspoint Academy is a private, independent, university preparatory
preschool through high school program that has developed an international reputation
for academic excellence and character development established on a biblical foundation.
The school and its students have earned numerous recognitions, including the U.S.
Department of Education’s National Blue Ribbon School Award of Excellence in 2003
and 2016, the highest honor bestowed on schools in the nation. Since opening in 1979,
every graduate has gone on to college or military service.
